In a move to pool social wisdom and promote high-quality development, the Qidong Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee has established its first batch of "Observation Points for Social Development Initiatives." Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "CIMC SOE") is honored to have been selected among them.
On November 6, a delegation led by Jiang Ping, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Qidong Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee and Chairperson of the Municipal People’s Congress Social Development Commission; Chen Zhangxian, Director of the Foreign Affairs, Ethnic & Religious Affairs, Overseas Chinese & Taiwan Affairs Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee and Vice Chairperson of the Social Development Commission; and Song Shuihua, Deputy Director of the Qidong Offshore Engineering & Shipbuilding Industrial Park and Deputy Mayor of YinYang Town, visited the company for an inspection and officially presented the designation plaque. Gao Wenbao, Vice President of CIMC ENRIC and General Manager of CIMC SOE, who also serves as a Qidong Municipal People’s Congress Deputy, hosted the delegation throughout the visit.
Accompanied by Mr. Gao, the delegation first toured the company's exhibition hall. By gaining a deeper understanding of CIMC SOE’s development journey and core products, the municipal leaders gained a concrete sense of the company’s evolution from its roots in Qidong to serving the global market, as well as its technical expertise and innovative capabilities in areas such as clean energy storage and transportation equipment.
The delegation then proceeded to inspect the frontline production areas. From core facilities like the 900-ton gantry crane and operational berths to the East Zone Phase II sand and gravel site and the AI Monitoring Center, the officials spoke highly of CIMC SOE’s hardware, production philosophy, and initiatives in intelligent manufacturing. As a Qidong Municipal People’s Congress Deputy and the enterprise leader, Mr. Gao expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in the company by the Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee. He emphasized that the company will take this recognition as renewed motivation to not only pursue its own high-quality development but also earnestly fulfill the responsibilities of an Observation Point. This includes actively providing suggestions and contributing the company’s professional expertise to help shape a new chapter in Qidong’s social development.
This designation establishes a new platform connecting industrial practice with public policy for the company. As an Observation Point, CIMC SOE will fully leverage the unique perspective of a key manufacturing enterprise. It will actively gather and feedback insights from the grassroots and the forefront of practice on topics such as industrial chain development and workplace safety, providing robust industrial support for the scientific decision-making and oversight work of the Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee.
