After nearly two months of intense competition, the 2025 Staff Table Tennis Tournament of Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (CIMC SOE) concluded successfully on July 12 at the West Area Activity Center. The event garnered enthusiastic participation from employees across multiple departments, featuring thrilling contests in five categories: Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, and a Fun Event. It showcased the employees’ unyielding perseverance and enterprising spirit while fostering a healthy, uplifting, and harmonious corporate culture.

Since registrations opened in May, the tournament attracted passionate table tennis enthusiasts. The organizing committee meticulously planned the format and schedule based on participant numbers. The Men's Singles category proved the most competitive, with players advancing through group round-robins and intense knockout stages to determine the final four. Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, and Women's Doubles adopted a single round-robin point system, ensuring ample opportunity for all participants. The innovative Fun Event, featuring a creative "Prop Arena Challenge" where paddles were replaced with frying pans, folders, and books, added boundless laughter and suspense.

Matches utilized both East and West Area Activity Centers during the group and round-robin stages. Employees balanced work commitments with rigorous training, dedicating their spare time to practice and compete. Across the compact tables, they sweated, honed their skills, and deepened cross-departmental and cross-campus camaraderie.

The afternoon of July 12 delivered a packed schedule of climactic moments. Decisive Women's and Men's Doubles matches ignited the arena first, with seamless teamwork displayed in rapid offensive-defensive exchanges. This was followed by the critical Men's Singles semifinals and finals, where top players engaged in masterful duels. Demonstrating comprehensive technique and versatile tactics—from extended rallies to decisive winners—they perfectly blended power, speed, spin, and strategy. The gripping contests and spectacular rallies treated spectators to a world-class table tennis spectacle.

The Fun Event then propelled the atmosphere to its peak with waves of laughter and cheers. Three "Arena Champions" emerging from the group challenges drew new props by lottery for a single round-robin showdown. Players sliced with folders, smashed with books, and blocked with frying pans, delighting the audience with ingenious shots and non-stop applause.
