On November 7th, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CIMC SOE") held the commencement ceremony for the SPP40 platform supply (hull number S1095) in the West Area Hull Workshop. The event was attended by distinguished guests including General Manager of SPEC, Mr. Weng Huigan, representative from CDB Leasing, Mr. Yu Lei, Site Manager of BV Classification Society, Mr. Di Hongyu, and on-site supervisor, Mr. Xia Jiangping. Also present were Deputy General Manager of CIMC SOE, Mr. Zhou Lubing, Deputy General Manager of the Shipbuilding Division, Mr. Chen Bin, and members of the project team.

It is understood that this multi-functional platform supply vessel has an overall length of 81.75 meters, a molded breadth of 17.40 meters, a molded depth of 7.8 meters, a design draft of 6.3 meters, and a deadweight capacity of 4,000 tons. The vessel is equipped with two tunnel thrusters and two azimuth thrusters, featuring a hybrid electric propulsion system, and will be classed by BV Classification Society. This vessel boasts several advanced features, such as an unmanned engine room, zero emissions for up to 7 days, a secondary dynamic positioning system, Class 1 external fire-fighting capabilities, oil spill recovery operations, and a vibration and noise comfort level of Grade 3. The deck cargo area reaches 800 square meters, designed specifically for transporting a variety of materials including methanol, fresh water, fuel, cement, mud, drilling water, and deck cargo.
