Recently, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CIMC SOE") has successfully loaded and dispatched the second batch of products for the 5MW floating offshore wind power project it built for EOLINK S.A.S (hereinafter referred to as "Eolink"). This order marks the first time China has undertaken an overseas floating offshore wind foundation structure project, with its successful delivery serving as a significant test of CIMC SOE’s technical capabilities and project management skills. It also lays a solid foundation for the construction and implementation of similar projects in the future.

According to reports, the floating offshore wind foundation structure project is mainly divided into two batches for delivery. The second batch, which was shipped this time, consists of 26 sections of the prototype unit, including the generator system, mooring system, ventilation system, and more. The 5MW floating offshore wind structure prototype measures 52 meters in length and width, with a turbine height of 94 meters, weighing approximately 2,000 tons. The entire project is expected to undergo final commissioning at the wind farm by 2025.

The shipment will be divided into five voyages, departing from the western factory area of CIMC SOE, heading to Zhangjiagang, and then transferred to ocean-going vessels for transport to France. It is estimated that the maritime transportation process will last about 35 days, ensuring the safe and undamaged arrival of the cargo at its destination.
