On the afternoon of August 1, secretary of Qidong Municipal Party Committee Yang Zhongjian and deputy secretary of Qidong Municipal Party Committee and acting mayor Cai Yi led all the members of the Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government, the main principals of the towns and parks, and the main principals of relevant government departments, who more than 60 people visited Nantong CIMC sinopacific offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as “CIMC SOE”) western yard to observe the construction of enterprise projects, CIMC Enric vice president and CIMC SOE general manager Gao Wenbao, deputy general manager Wang Jianding and other leaders received them warmly.

Gao Wenbao reported the overall operation of CIMC SOE western yard to secretary Yang Zhongjian and his party, mainly including the introduction of the acquisition process of Fengshun, product orientation, business strategy and order performance. Gao Wenbao pointed out that our company completed the acquisition of the original Fengshun Shipbuilding Heavy Industry in 2021 with the support of the municipal party committee and the municipal government, and with the slipway and dock resources in the western yard, it obtained 9 orders for liquefied gas vessels in the year of acquisition. At the same time, in order to achieve rapid production, CIMC SOE has invested hundreds of millions of funds to transform the existing cutting platform, hull workshop, berth, painting room, crane and other equipment and facilities to restore production capacity effectively. At present, three shipbuilding production lines have been formed in the west site, with an annual output of 10 to 12 high-end clean energy vessels, creating more than 2000 jobs, driving the development of related ship distribution enterprises, and has reached a segmented manufacturing cooperation agreement with two Marine Industry Park ship enterprises, providing more strategic cooperation opportunities. In the future, CIMC SOE will firmly focus on clean energy, take high-end clean energy vessels, LNG fuel tanks, offshore modules, offshore wind power and hydrogen production equipment as the core, lead green innovation and development, deeply cultivate blue marine economy, and contribute to the high-quality development of Qidong.
