Recently, CIMC SOE delivered three major LNG clean energy equipment projects in quick succession, demonstrating its technical strength, manufacturing capability, and reliable execution in the marine clean energy sector.
4600m³ Extra-Long Bi-Lobe Tank Shipped
The 4600m³ bi-lobe tank, a first-project for Waigaoqiao/Intercontinental Shipping, measures 56 meters in length—far exceeding standard LNG tank dimensions. This posed significant challenges in fabrication, precision control, logistics, and lifting. Despite a tight schedule, the team coordinated across design, procurement, safety, quality, and production, completing all work—including fabrication, equipment installation, pressure testing, and final inspection—on time and to high quality standards.

2000m³ LNG Fuel Tanks Delivered for Luxury Cruise Vessel
Classed with DNV, these horizontal twin-tank units were commissioned by Wärtsilä for Carnival series luxury cruise vessels. Construction began in May 2025 and was completed on schedule after one year of detailed work. The project faced challenges including confined spaces and complex piping systems, requiring precision design and strict process control. Through close collaboration with the client and rigorous quality management, the tanks were delivered on time.

First 7500m³ LNG Type B Fuel Tank Delivered
The 7500m³ Type B fuel tank—the company's first of its kind—has been delivered to Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding for installation on 9000 TEU dual-fuel container vessels. This series comprises seven vessel sets, with design, procurement, and construction all handled independently by CIMC SOE. The project faced a compressed schedule and design changes, but the team coordinated across disciplines, optimized core processes, and overcame challenges in block erection, insulation, precision control, and loading. The tank was delivered on schedule with full compliance across safety, quality, and timeline.
