Cultivating a "People-Oriented" approach, building a "Common Cause" Together — CIMC SOE launched comprehensive employee care series
2026-05-20

To deeply practice the core values of "People-Oriented, Common Cause," address the diverse needs of frontline production staff and administrative roles, and achieve full coverage with targeted care, the labor union of Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "the Company") has systematically launched a series of employee care initiatives across three dimensions: psychological, physical, and social. These include interest clubs, EAP (Employee Assistance Program) lectures, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) consultations, and health report interpretation sessions. Through warm and effective support, the Company aims to build cohesive strength for enterprise development, making the "Common Cause" more heartfelt and tangible.

Since early 2026, the Company's labor union has carefully planned and methodically advanced this series of care activities, moving beyond a single-mode approach to establish a comprehensive, normalized employee care system. This ensures every employee can feel the Company's warmth and attention beyond their daily work.

Psychological Care Soothes the Mind, Building an Emotional "Safe Haven"

In recent years, with strong order books and heavy production demands, employees have faced increasingly busy schedules and a faster work pace. Frontline production staff, in particular, have endured prolonged physical exertion and significant psychological burden. To support employees and alleviate anxiety, the Company organized an EAP (Employee Assistance Program) lecture in April, themed "Find Peace in Safety, Empower Your Workplace," featuring on-site instruction by a professional psychological counselor.

Through case studies and interactive discussions, the counselor imparted practical methods for stress relief and emotional management. At the same time, one-on-one psychological support was made available to help employees approach work and life with a more positive mindset.

Physical Health Safeguards, Guarding the "Wellness Network"

Recognizing the distinct work characteristics of different roles — production personnel working outdoors year-round with heavy physical loads, while administrative staff often suffer from sedentary fatigue due to prolonged desk work — the Company's labor union has precisely identified these pain points and deeply understands the challenges and health needs of all employees. This year, the Company established a long-term mechanism for TCM consultations, regularly inviting professional TCM practitioners to the Company to provide one-on-one pulse diagnosis and constitution identification, effectively helping employees manage suboptimal health conditions.

Coinciding with "National Vascular Health Day" (May 18), the Company specially invited a team of chief TCM physicians from Qidong to conduct a dedicated health clinic. During the event, the expert team not only offered basic services such as blood pressure and blood glucose measurements and TCM therapies but also set up a dedicated health report interpretation area based on the recent company-wide annual physical examination. They analyzed key indicators such as blood lipids, blood glucose, and blood pressure for each employee, providing personalized dietary and exercise recommendations based on individual constitutions, thus solving the common difficulty of understanding medical reports.

One colleague on-site remarked: "In the past, I would look at my health report and see unfamiliar metrics and arrows, not knowing what to do. Having the expert explain it step by step was extremely helpful, and I truly feel the Company's thoughtfulness." At the same time, the labor union distributed carefully prepared health-themed gifts to participants, extending the concept of wellness to employees' families.

Community Activities Build Connections, Bridging Hearts and Minds

To enrich employees' spiritual and cultural lives, promote cross-departmental interaction, and strengthen team cohesion, the Company launched an initiative to build interest clubs. Through intention surveys and club leader recruitment, five clubs were quickly formed: table tennis, basketball, football, badminton, and billiards. The Company provides professional venues and coaching for each club, organizing regular monthly activities that allow employees to relieve stress through sports, deepen friendships through interaction, and enrich their after-work life through hobbies — truly achieving "energetic work, joyful living."

Club activities are now steadily underway. The table tennis and billiards clubs have already launched professional training courses, inviting coaches to demonstrate practical techniques and provide detailed corrections of movements. Participants have expressed great satisfaction and significant gains. The football club has organized friendly matches with other companies in the offshore industrial park, fully showcasing the employees' energetic spirit. Other club activities are also being planned and will be rolled out in an orderly manner, allowing employees to relieve stress, build physical strength, and grow closer through activities, fostering a positive and harmonious corporate atmosphere.

Heartfelt Gifts, Building a Lifeline of Warmth

Beyond caring for the physical and mental health of current employees, the Company also values the sense of belonging and well-being of retiring employees, introducing exclusive care measures for them. For employees completing retirement procedures in a given month, the Company presents a special commemorative gift, honoring their years of dedication and quiet contribution to the Company's development — ensuring a sense of belonging throughout every stage of their career.

The physical and mental health of employees is the most solid foundation of the Company's "Common Cause" and the core driver of high-quality development. Going forward, the Company's labor union will continue to deepen the "People-Oriented" core values, further optimizing and refining the care system based on existing initiatives. It will promote the normalization and brand-building of TCM consultations and club activities, while continuously expanding the scope and precision of care — ensuring that heartfelt support reaches the production frontline and helps employees grow and develop together with the Company.
